Sunday hours

Its a Sunday, and I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself because as much as I would like to be out for a long walk on a beach somewhere on this beautiful Island, I am painting busily for show after show. A lovely local couple came in and bought 2 pieces from me this morning for their little boys' newly decorated bedroom. They then phoned later to invite us both along for a walk, sadly I couldn't shut up shop but the thought was lovely. The people here are so friendly and welcoming, so hopefully next time. I love being part of a community, it makes me feel very settled and secure, a feeling I have never had before really. Back to it, hope you are all having a fun Sunday (said through gritted teeth) ;) x

It's such a good feeling, that you belong. The best. Your gallery is looking so good. I keep promising that I will treat myself to one of those Poppy Teffry tea cosies one day. x

Yes, there are both good and poor days… hopes that tomorrow will be a really good one - and that you get time for a walk.

The view from your gallery looks very welcoming! I hope you are having a better today! At least it's raining so no sun to long out to (I've got to sewsewsew too)... Picking up some fill for you boats tomorrow, I'm hoping to have something to show later this week. Or Monday.

hi janet
it's been far too long since i last visited here. i'm so glad i came today because your blog is filled with spring and light bright cheeriness.

i sympathise with your desire to go out walking, the sun is such a temptress after so much rain and wind (and earthquakes!) and then they say more wind to come, oh poo. but also more sunny days and when the shows sell all your lovely paintings you'll have earned yourself some real quality walking time to savour thoroughly.
