Chair painting

There is a funny shiny thing in the sky again, rare these days so I'm gonna take the opportunity to paint some chairs outside, ready for our new look kitchen/garden room(sounds posh doesn't it). We currently have a blue painted handmade kitchen which I love but we have dark brown floor tiles, which I hate so having just ordered 50 sqm of reclaimed Victorian floorboards to paint White this is the look I'm going for. Check back to watch the progress.

All the book photos are from Selina Lakes Homespun style and the rest are from my kitchen.

  1. Hi Janet... I've had similar problems getting my head round blogging with iPad... Looks like you have got it sorted though! Lovely pics.

  3. It's called 'perfect day'... Hoping to catch that feeling you get when you reconnect with who you really are and where you fit in... Big seas and wide skies do that for me. Starts next weekend in Padstow. I've been doing bigger paintings with glass, trying to keep one step ahead of the more general fused glass work and satisfying the painter in me! It's a wonderful life!

  4. oh gosh, the sound of your newlook kitchen makes me go weak at the knees! Please can you give me some more info re what paint you used for the chairs and whether the chairs need much prepping? Also where you sourced your floor?? Both those things are on my list of to-do's (would love reclaimed Victorian boards for our hallway).....

  5. Ha ha Lucy, I would have posted more photos but that would have meant TIDYING!!!! There are currently mountains of crap piled on most surfaces. The good part of keeping a blog and photographing corners means I do have to try and keep it fairly tidy....xxx
