Sorry

Sorry for the hideous quality of photos in this recent post, they were taken with my iPad and look ok if you click on them. Its late, my brain is frazzled and Raffy is stirring because of flipping teething, so no time to change it. Please bear with me. X

Come in, have a look around the gallery

Let's have a quick peek out the back

My favourite drawer of colour

A bit of inspiration

On the easel yesterday

I found this fabric in liberty years ago and can't bear to use it, it's only a small piece.

One to finish

I'm a bit of a messy painter

Nearly finished

My studio really is the biggest tip at the moment as I'm preparing for a VW camper van festival this weekend. I'm having a stall to sell my wares. I'm more than a bit nervous as I've never done anything like that before. Got so much to do and so little time. I've been trying to find a funky awning to attach to the camper van and keep me dry if it rains. I swear there is a Market out there for something more desirable than the bog standard gazebo looking ones. I would love someone to make me a deckchair stripy one. I wish I had thought about it earlier and commissioned one, maybe next time.

back tomorrow all being well, I've promised some housey pics but it's been too dark inside our little cottage to get any good photos. I love my low beamed ceilings but not much natural light leads to not good pics to share.

This is all I get!!! By the way that Julie arkell doll is one of my prized possessions.

Bye for now.....

P.s Lucy, I think the front door colour is Farrow and ball Dix blue, or it could be stone blue? I have used their blue ground on a lot of internal doors and that is an incredible colour....xx

Tiny originals

Anyone blogging from an iPad, can you tell me how to make my pictures appear larger. I have tried adjusting settings and resizing but they become blurred, even though the original size is huge. Help? Answers on a postcard please x
Here are another couple of originals I have done this week. I'm enjoying using softer colours. I'm in the studio all day tomorrow so will show you around.

i can smell butternut squash and chorizo risotto cooking and my mouth is watering so a glass of wine is about to be poured and I wish you a good evening. Xx

So, Lovely Lucy from over at attic 24 has asked me to show some more of my house, but I think I'll start with the garden, because if I'm honest my kitchen is a tip after guests this weekend and my sudden urge to paint six chairs yesterday. The aftermath now living on the kitchen table. I must say I'm not the tidiest of people, I dnt enjoy housework and I do love things, stuff, tat, treasure whatever you like to call it, so the house gets a bit full sometimes. I think that's how I would describe it at the moment, full..... A cull is in order but I just can't bear to part with any of it.

And here is a little painting I did today, I just put a mount around it to photograph and will send it to my framers this week.

SUNDay painting

We had lots of fun in the sun!!! Did you?

Chair painting

There is a funny shiny thing in the sky again, rare these days so I'm gonna take the opportunity to paint some chairs outside, ready for our new look kitchen/garden room(sounds posh doesn't it). We currently have a blue painted handmade kitchen which I love but we have dark brown floor tiles, which I hate so having just ordered 50 sqm of reclaimed Victorian floorboards to paint White this is the look I'm going for. Check back to watch the progress.

All the book photos are from Selina Lakes Homespun style and the rest are from my kitchen.
